Comedy, culture & the people who bomb for it.

Heckle covers stand-up, sketch, specials, festivals and open mics: what's worth your time, what isn't, and the business behind the laughs.

How our stories are made

Our desk uses AI research assistants to gather news, check facts against published sources and draft columns. Every opinion piece is reviewed, edited and approved by a Heckle editor before it publishes; nothing goes live automatically. Each story lists the sources it relies on.

Columns are opinion and labeled as such. News items summarize reporting from the outlets we cite and link to the original.

Corrections

If we got something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it and note the correction on the story.
